Terre More

The 2021 vintage is somewhat reminiscent of the 2017 vintage, as both summers were fairly hot, and the proximity to the sea remains one of the most important factors in terms of ripeness, bringing a wonderful freshness to the grapes. The rainy winter period built up water reserves for the plants, which ensured excellent vegetative growth and proved vital during the dry period that lasted from the end of spring to the end of summer. The spring temperatures were slightly below the seasonal average, which led to slightly delayed budding and helped ensure a good vegetative/productive balance, ideal for the later varieties. The lack of precipitation throughout the harvest period meant that the grapes were picked in an excellent state of ripeness. All of these factors have resulted in a wonderful vintage.

Wine Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc with small amount of Merlot and Syrah
Maturation: in barriques
Alcohol content: 13.5%

Vinification and ageing: The carefully harvested grapes were transferred to the cellar; here, they were destemmed and mashed in steel tanks. Fermentation took place at a controlled temperature. They then underwent a period of maturation in second- and third-fill French oak barriques. A further period in the bottle allowed the wine to become balanced and express its full potential.
Organoleptic Notes: The 2021 Terre More is a wonderful, intense and vibrant ruby-red colour with violet highlights. The bouquet is characterised by intense fruity notes, reminiscent of wild berries, including blackberry, blueberry and even strawberry tree fruit, accompanied by subtle hints of cherry. It also has an interesting spiciness, with notes of liquorice and slightly peppery nuances. The olfactory journey ends with light earthy and tertiary notes, including coffee bean. On the palate, it has a beautiful vivacity. The tannins are silky, fine and elegant, enhancing the structure of the wine. Enveloping on the palate. A long and persistent finish.
Available formats: 0.75 L
